THE STORY BEHIND TERRA SG.

The word Terra is derived from the Latin word for our planet, “Earth”. It is a name that symbolises the organisation’s commitment to the Earth, the environment and the sustainability of the planet.

Our organisation exists because our Earth needs a voice that would protect our environment, advocate for sustainability and spark a positive change.

Terra Singapore (Terra SG) is a people-powered movement for positive environmental change. As a social enterprise with sustainability and humanitarian focuses, Terra SG’s work revolves around initiating and empowering people through running eco-education programmes, building green spaces, organising sustainable events, managing the Sustainable Singapore Gallery and powering upcycling activities & workshops.

Terra Singapore (Terra SG)’s logo is a symbol of the Pangaea, the super-continent that existed on our Earth before it was broken up into the 7 continents we know today. This shape represents Terra SG’s vision for unity in the sustainability movement. The vibrant colours in the logo represents the diversity, vibrancy and inclusivity inherent in Terra SG and the sustainability movement.
