For communities & events

At Terra, we believe that the community is the heart of what we do. A positive environmental impact would not be possible without the support of the people and the local community. As such, we offer programmes for communities and event organisers that support the sustainability cause.

It is through these community-focused programmes that we hope to reach out to more individuals and inspire them to make sustainable changes in their lives. Our programmes are often focused on engaging educational experiences for our participants, such as interactive exhibits, upcycling challenges and sustainability marketplaces.

Terra hopes that we can all be a part of this movement for a positive change for the environment together.

Sustainable EVENTS

Sustainability Events at Terra do not just engage directly with the local community to promote sustainability messages. Our events also cultivate a community of crafters, designers and upcyclers, bringing together fresh concepts that are both inspiring and innovative.

Our events also promote environmental protection, social bonding and creative reuse. Besides educating our community about methods of upcycling, our events will also encourage them to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives, such as gardening and conscious consumption. Some past events that we have done include:

  • car-free days

  • sustainability marketplaces

  • public engagements

  • sustainability seminars, dialogues and forums

Upcycling Events.

At Terra, we encourage everyone to rethink the possibilities of our waste. With this fundamental philosophy, upcycling – the process of transforming our perceived trash into useful items – has become the highlight of our hands-on programmes.

Besides encouraging creativity in all participants through craft techniques, our upcycling events will also teach participants about the value of the various materials they see in their everyday life. Participants may work with a large variety of materials, including PVC banners, plastic water bottles, milk cartons, unwanted T-shirts, plastic bottle caps and more!

Our upcycling events can be conducted in various settings – including in community centres, community marketplaces, parks, public spaces and more.
